I am Sydney based portrait photographer and would describe my approach to photography as ‘reality bites’, like that movie with Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke. My subjects are portrayed with gritty detail. I believe that freckles, dimples and wrinkles are beautiful. I use strong colors and shadows to bring out your personality and character.
I love photographing people and I like interacting with people I work with, so be warned, I will want your personality and emotions, not just your body. If fashion photography is all about the clothing and model is just an expensive coat hanger, then portrait photography is all about the person and clothing is there to enhance your personality and mood of the image. I do portraits, not fashion.
